Our everyday facial expressions and lifestyle factors can all contribute to the formation of lines and wrinkles. Something we all examine almost every time we look in a mirror!
To provide our clients with a fresher, tighter and smoother appearance, our aesthetic practitioners offer non-invasive anti-wrinkle injections, which are used to smooth away forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet and laughter lines to create an overall more youthful look.
The effects of anti-wrinkle injections can last for up to 3-4 months, however, it’s important to understand that anti-wrinkle injections are a prescription only medicine and its suitability for each individual client is subject to consultation.
Anti-wrinkle injections can overall be used to prevent, overcome and reduce lines and wrinkles, whilst if they appear to be slightly deeper, dermal fillers may be a more effective treatment for you.

How do anti-wrinkle injections work?
Anti-wrinkle injections work via blocking nerve impulses to muscles. The muscles then in turn relax and can’t contract, whilst lines and wrinkles relax and begin to soften to provide a much younger looking complexion.
What does the treatment involve?
Anti-wrinkle injections are a prescription-only drug and at the Aesthetics Lounge, only our fully qualified aesthetic nurses and practitioners will prescribe and carry out your treatment, respectively. Our clients are treated with FDA approved the product in which will provide them with the best results that last longer.
The product is injected into the desired treatment area by using a very fine needle, taking no more than 15 minutes, with only an extremely minimal level of discomfort. There are no requirements for anaesthetic and so our clients can leave as they are ready.
Following treatment, we strongly advise against any alcohol consumption for 24hrs and ask our clients to avoid tilting their head forwards for a few hours afterwards, whilst also refraining from any exercise for 24 hours. If clients experience any temporary discomfort, ordinary painkillers can be taken if needed.
